Hindustan was founded in the year 1936 by Madan Mohan Malaviya. The newspaper is also known as Hindustan Dainik, and it is one of the most widely read Hindi language daily newspapers in India. It commands a large, loyal and engaged readership across the country and has a reputation for delivering excellent quality journalism coupled with balanced, insightful and analytical reporting. The newspaper is owned by the highly reputed HT Media Ltd., which is one of the most well known media companies in India. Hindustan Dainik is the preferred newspaper for millions of readers located not just in the Hindi speaking regions of the country, but across the whole of India. Hindustan has a strong presence in northern Indian states, namely Haryana, Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, as well as the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
